Welcome to Zeal! Setting up your account is quick and completely free. Unlike traditional finance apps, you don't need an ID, phone number, or email address to get started.

How to create your account in minutes

1. Download Zeal
2. Select CreateAccount
3. Tap Create Passkey
   
4. Add a passkey when prompted
   • ⚠️ Important Security Recommendation: We strongly recommend saving your Passkey to your Apple Account (iCloud) or Google Account. We DO NOT reccomend using a password manager to save your Passkey. Not all password managers follow the latest security standards, which could result in you being locked out of your account.
     
5. Tap Verify passkey
6. Tap use Passkey when prompted
7. Create a passcode for app access
8. Confirm your passcode

🛡️ Understanding Zeal Security & Control

Zeal gives you complete control over your money. Because we work differently than a traditional bank, it is helpful to understand a few key concepts about how your account is secured.

• Zeal is Self-Custodial: You stay in complete control of your funds at all times. There are no banks and no middlemen holding your money.

• What are Passkeys?: A Passkey is your digital key. It is a modern, highly secure replacement for a password. It is the only way to access your funds, making it much harder for hackers to steal.

• Cloud Backup & Recovery: Your Passkey is automatically backed up to your chosen cloud provider (Apple or Google). This ensures that even if you lose your phone, you can recover your account using your cloud login.

• Your Responsibility: Because you are in control, you have more responsibility. If you lose access to your Passkey (and its backup), you will lose access to your Zeal account and funds. Don't worry: By backing up your Passkey to Apple or Google as recommended in Step 4, Zeal makes this management simple and secure.
